Unscrupulous elements to deforest on the Mambilla Platea

In recent times Govt agents connived with some unscrupulous elements to deforest the once Beautiful Govt Reserved Forests on The Mambilla Plateau. The exercise was carried out in such a reckless and ferocious manner without minding the consequences of the quantum of damages done to the environment. Today apart from the Eucalyptus farms owned by individuals, that of Govt has become a shadow of it former self. What a pity! Now the little one that adorned The Govt Lodge within Gembu Metropolis is being hewed with such a recklessness one wonders if there is any Govt organ to check n stop all these nonsense? That's not just my concern. What about the dirtiness, filts we have created for the town? Its a big shame us as a people to have abandon the multi-million naira Gembu New Market to lay in waste only for us to go for the open, conjested, narrow one near Pege? Or more still to have the Old Motorpark junction so so conjested with big lorries offloading goods there instead of the new Motorpark? Worst still the Catholic Church junction has turned into a Motorpark? Even more pathetic is the obstruction of the new tarred road with goods and wares thereby posing grave dangers to those plying that road. Why can't the LGC direct those doing their personal constructions along that highway remove and decongest the roads? Now the Big One;where is the Gembu Master plan? I can see Gembu developing and expanding both east and westward so what happens now that no one is paying any attention to the provision of schools, clinics or recreation centres? I'm deeply embarrassed that a big town such as ours no portable drinking water for the teeming populace? Electricity? Proper drainage systems? The reckless way and manner refuse is dumped without any plans whatsoever to remove such? Haba
